InChemTech Research Program

The Research Program is positioned to develop and deliver a host of solutions to a wide range of scientific applications and industries. These advanced solutions will deliver new products to academic and industrial markets as diverse as pharmaceutical synthesis, petroleum refining, organometallics, catalysis, and hydrogen energy.

Research Areas:

Materials Science
Reserearch mainly concentrated on structure, reactivity and dynamics of ion conducting solid materials combining expert knowledge within synthesis, analysis and structural and electrochemical characterization. R&D on a variety of materials ranging from tough ceramic oxides to soft monolayers and monolayerprotected clusters. The complementary skills and diverse experience can be brought to leverage on the design, synthesis, processing, physico-chemical characterization and properties of solid materials.

Organic Chemistry
Research in organic chemistry deals with synthesis and isolation/characterization of organic compounds, process chemistry, custom synthesis, and synthesis of new chemical entities with clinical potentials, Catalysis, Carbohydrate chemistry, Enantioselective synthesis, Heterocyclic chemistry, Nanomaterials, Nucleoside /nucleotide/ oligonucleotide chemistry.

Inorganic Chemistry
Synthesis and characterization of new coordination complexes as well as kinetic and mechanistic studies.
Anionic Binders, Beryllium Binders, Bioinorganic chemistry, Clusters, Inorganic x-ray crystallography, Metallo-Supramolecular Chemistry and Functional Materials, Organometallic Chemistry, Phenylcyanamide complexes.

Analytical and Environmental Chemistry
Chemical Speciation, Contaminant Removal from Soils and Waterways, Electrochemistry, Environmental Electrochemistry, Heterogeneous catalysis.

Polymer Chemistry & Materials
Relate the methods of synthesis of organic macromolecules to the goals and objectives of material science. This involves synthesis of well defined macromolecular structures using several chemistries (radical, anionic, metal catalyzed polymerizations, step growth polymerizations) and study their structure, molecular and supra molecular properties with the ultimate objective of deriving structure-property relationships.

Industrial Flow Modelling
Developing computational modelling tools to understand, to optimise and to develop complex industrial processes and products.

Organic peroxides
Initiators and crosslinkers in the polymer industry. Developing different organic peroxides commercially produced throughout the world.
Our research responds to market and customer needs with new products, new processes, and new applications of existing products.

Research program
We encourage researchers and students/graduates to bring their ideas and research to our Incubator. The Research Program is the place to grow the idea, consult with experts, and bring life to the idea through one of our sponsors, or on your own. If you have an idea that could change the way technology is used, then the Research Program wants to hear about it.

InChemTech Research Program aims to help transform exciting early stage ideas into complete research that will prove their concept. In order to do this we invest the time and effort of our own team of staff into projects deemed to show potential. Work is carried out in partnership with the originator of the research.

Once an research idea is supported by the Research Program, the student/graduate will get support for developing the research. He can stay in the Research Program for 6-12 months during which he will get technical and financial support. By the end of the stay, the research is completed and can be implemented by the industry, ready to emerge.

What does Research Program really do?
The Research Program is working with some of the leading universities in the world, for locating the bright young minds of tomorrow.

How is the Research Program Offered?
InChemTech Research Program, in collaboration with its industry partners and associates, examines a list of high-level projects from postgraduate and undergraduate students. The program will identify business opportunities within international markets.

How do we work?
Once our staff have selected your research proposal, the research will be developed collaboratively and evaluated as it progresses.

We will recognize and respect your intellectual property (IP) and, in the event of your idea being taken on by InChemTech, the relationship between us, inputs, outputs, time-frames and ownership aspects will be negotiated and agreed formally with you. You will retain the IP to your idea, and have the right to use everything we develop for you on the project. Where projects have commercial potential, we would expect to negotiate a royalty with you based on the level of our contribution to the development of the idea.

Who can apply?
Any undergraduate or graduated students, or groups of students, from anywhere in the world can apply for the funding.

What do we offer?
Expertise: The expertise of our staff to work in collaboration with you. Your research proposal will be examined by our group of experts, and you will be offered ways to develop, improve and implement your research.
Funding: From a few thousand dollars to up to $20,000 to help cover the costs of your research. We are looking to fund a range of projects, from small ones to larger ones. There are two bands that awards fall into depending on how much funding is required to cost-effectively take them to a first-stage prototype.
$5,000 - $10,000
$10,001 - $20,000
Our funding is not cash-only investments. We are looking for projects with full involvement and working with you as part of a collaborative team.
Partnership matching with others

We are well connected with business development units of the major league companies in the industry. Where appropriate, and always respecting intellectual property ownership, third-party partners will be brought in to enhance projects.
