Admission
Admission Process
STAGE 1: SUBMIT RESEARCH PROPOSAL OR BUSINESS PLAN
As a first step in the admissions process, the prospective company should submit an research proposal. InChemTech will submit the proposal to an internal review. If necessary, a business plan may also be requested at this point. InChemTech does not require the submission of a final business plan, but the incubator does want to receive a written indication that the company's founders have thought through the entire business process and, to some extent, have addressed the essential issues which will affect the company's success.
STAGE 2: PRESENTATION TO InChemTech
If the initial evaluation of the business plan / research proposal is positive, InChemTech will arrange a meeting at which the company will be expected to present a presentation describing critical aspects of the proposal.
STAGE 3: InChemTech COMMITTEE REVIEW / PRESENTATION
InChemTech maintains an advisory board of industry experts and community business leaders which offer their expertise in the application process. If a company successfully passes through the first two stages of the approval process, the executive summary (with the company's prior knowledge and consent) is forwarded to a panel of Committee members for review.
The company founders will be asked to make a presentation to the InChemTech Committee. The presentation will be followed by questions from the assembled review committee. After the presentation, a final determination will be made regarding the company's entry into the incubator.
THROUGHOUT PROCESS: RESEARCH & DUE DILIGENCE
Throughout the application process, on an as-needed basis, InChemTech will perform research and due diligence of the company, the management team, the industry, and current and future competitive elements facing the business. InChemTech may require further information from the applicant, and may ask the applicant to revise the executive summary and/or presentation.
